ganglion cyst

My podiatrist diagnosed my ganglion cyst. I had it for about a month. Just as suddenenly as it appeared, it disapeared! What happened? I was discussing surgury with my podiatrist 5 days ago and now its gone..Someone Please Please explain. (no i didnt smash it with a big book)
